The distillery was founded by Paul & Merry Beth (“MB”) Tomaszewski in 2009 as Kentucky’s first completely “grain to glass” craft distillery. Paul is a native of southeastern Louisiana and arrived to the area via nearby Ft Campbell, while MB is a local native. An Amish dairy farm came up for sale and provedPaul & Merry Beth (“MB”) - About MBR Distillery to be a wonderful foundation for a Kentucky craft distillery. One of the major benefits of the location is our proximity to our local grain supplier, Christian County Grain, located in nearby Pembroke.

If you appreciate the fine quality that only comes from the freshest ingredients... If you believe in honest hard work and the integrity of the family farm... If you know that a commitment to quality takes some extra time...

Mystic Mountain Distillery is nestled among the buttes in the Larkspur, Colorado area. The distillery is the dream and hard work of a passionate master distiller. Each recipe reflects the skill and passion of a man who has captured his many life experiences, travels from nearly every corner of the globe and a bit of family history into each bottle. The creation of the unique blends and recipes wasn't possible with without our master distiller creating his own copper still - all by hand. Once the still was in place, our distiller began perfecting an old family recipe for moonshine.
Brothers Andy Nelson and Charlie Nelson have always had a lot in common. Both graduated from Loyola Marymount with degrees in the Humanities concentrating on Philosophy; both are history buffs, true southern gentlemen and proud of their family roots. But when they set out to resurrect Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, founded in the 1800s by their great-great-great grandfather Charles Nelson, the boys realized their kinship ran deeper than blood. They both had spirit pulsing through their veins.
